The Municipality of Novo mesto, the Institute of Novo mesto and the Committee for the International Singing Competition SGSM 2019, as part of the 5th festival of classical and contemporary music "Sem glasba, sem mesto" (I Am Music, I Am the City – SGSM 2019), are launching

A call for applications for the 3rd International Singing Competition for the Novo mesto

award  for the genres/categories of opera and lieder.

Only singers up to the age of 32 years of age are eligible to apply for the competition.

The competitors will be evaluated by a five-member international panel of judges, which will award the 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes and a special prize to a promising singer below the age of 24 for each genre as specified above.

PRIZES
1st prize – €1000 and a part in an opera/a concert

2nd prize – €500

3rd prize – a concert

A special prize awarded to a promising singer below the age of 24.

The competition will take place on 30th and 31st May 2019 in Novo mesto.
